Easy Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. round steak
    1 pkg. brown gravy mix
    4 Tbsp. dry onion soup mix
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Trim all
    fat
    from
    meat
    and\tcut
    in serving pieces. Pound to\ttenderize.
    Fry
    meat in shortening until brown.
    Do not salt meat.
    Mix\ttogether the gravy mix and dry onion soup mix.\tPlace 1
    layer
    of meat in pan and sprinkle with half of the dry mixture.
    Add remaining meat and sprinkle with remaining gravy and onion soup mix.
    Pour 2 1/2 cups water over and cover tightly. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 3 hours.
