Cherry Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour
nuts, if desired
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 small jar cherries, cut up
1/2 c. cherry juice
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
Sift dry ingredients and add with juice and cherries and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour in small loaf pans filled a little over half full.
