Pumpkin-Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
2/3 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
2/3 c. water
2/3 c. prepared mincemeat
2/3 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Combine first 6 ingredients; set aside. Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add pumpkin and mix well. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with water. Mix well. Add mincemeat and pecans. Spoon into 2 greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pans. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours. Yields 2 loaves.
