All-American Bean Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 frankfurters, thinly sliced
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. dry mustard
    1 1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (21 oz.) can B & M Brick Oven baked beans
    1/2 c. catsup
    1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    10 oz. pasteurized process cheese spread or thinly sliced or shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In skillet, lightly brown sliced franks with onion, butter, mustard, allspice and pepper, mixing well. Pour beans into a baking dish.
    Add catsup and brown sugar; mix well.
    Spread evenly over the bottom of the dish.
    Layer franks over the beans.
    Top with cheese, if desired.
    Bake for 30 minutes.
    Serves 8.
