German Chocolate Frosting Original Recipe - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Pet milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 1/3 c. Angel Flake coconut
Preparation

Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla in a heavy saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 12 minutes.
Add coconut and pecans; beat until spreading consistency.
Makes enough frosting to cover a 3-layer cake.
