Ribbon Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry jello
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. ice cold water
    1 c. fruit cocktail
    1 pkg. Knox unflavored gelatine
    3 oz. cream cheese
    3/4 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
    Then add cold water.
    Drain fruit cocktail, reserving juice.
    Add fruit to jello.
    Pour half of this mix into an 8 x 8-inch Pyrex dish to form first layer of salad.
    Chill.
