Carter'S Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. link sausage
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. chopped mushrooms
    8 slices cubed bread
    1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 1/4 c. milk
    4 eggs
    3/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 c. chopped chives
    1 can cream of mushroom soup, slightly diluted
Preparation
    Brown sausage; remove from pan and drain.
    Saute mushrooms and onion; drain.
    In a large bowl, mix together milk, eggs, mustard, chives and soup.
    Add bread and 1 cup cheese; mix.
    Add sausage, mushrooms and onion; stir.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Refrigerate overnight.
