English Muffin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. dry milk powder
    2 1/3 c. very warm water
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Combine in large bowl 3 cups flour, sugar, dry milk powder, salt and yeast.
    Add warm water to flour mixture and stir to make a batter.
    Add remaining 2 cups flour to make a stiff batter.
    Cover bowl and put in warm place to double in bulk, about 1/2 hour.
    Stir down with a wooden spoon.
    Add soda which has been dissolved in water.
    Place batter in two large greased loaf pans.
    Let rise until double in bulk, about 1/2 hour.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
    Bread must be toasted to obtain its full flavor.
    Makes 2 loaves.
