Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. lettuce
    1/2 onion, chopped fine
    2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) box frozen peas
    1 c. grated sharp cheese
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 1/2 c. plain yogurt
Preparation
    In large bowl, layer half of all ingredients.
    Sprinkle teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper on top. Mix mayonnaise and yogurt well.
    Spread 1/2 of dressing on top. Repeat with all other ingredients, ending with dressing.
    Spread other cheese pressing on top.
    Cover and chill.
