Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. split peas
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. beef base
    1 gal. water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1 carrot, peeled and shredded
Preparation
    Rinse
    split
    peas
    and
    add to the gallon of water the salt, the
    pepper,
    the
    onions
    and the beef base.
    Let boil until peas are
    done.
    Mix the flour and the cooking oil to a smooth texture and
    add
    gradually
    to
    the soup mixture until there is a smooth texture, not too thick.
    Let cook over a low fire for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
