Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar, beaten eggs and vanilla.
    Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to sugar mixture, blending thoroughly.
    Add nuts. Form dough into two rolls; wrap in wax paper.
    Store in refrigerator.
    Slice and bake as needed at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes 5 1/2 dozen.
