Christmas Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/3 c. nuts, finely chopped
    1/3 c. cherries, chopped
    1/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/3 c. raisins
    1/2 c. soft margarine
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. lemon rind
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Blend together margarine, sugar and vanilla.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually blend into first mixture alternately with milk.
    Stir in nuts, cherries, chocolate and raisins.
    Turn into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 5 to 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan; cool.
    Spread with icing.
