Mom'S Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 (15 oz.) can original style stewed tomatoes (or any similar brand that has onion, celery and green peppers included)
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. uncooked quick or old-fashioned oatmeal
    1 pkg. dry onion or onion-mushroom or beefy-onion soup mix
    salt and pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Blend tomatoes briefly in food processor. Combine tomatoes, egg, oatmeal and soup mix.
    Mix well, then add ground beef.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Place into loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 70 minutes.
    Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
