Baking Powder Biscuits(Heritage Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all purpose flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. all vegetable shortening
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Mix in shortening, using fork; add milk. Blend lightly until mixture is moistened. Turn out on floured surface; knead lightly. Roll out to about 3/4 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter.
    Place o lightly greased baking pan. Also, brush tops lightly with melted margarine or bacon grease. Bake 400 degrees for 12 - 15 minutes.
