Apple Roll - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. apples
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. apple pie spice
1/2 c. shortening
1 stick butter
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
Preparation

Chop apples and mix with brown sugar and spice.
Melt butter, sugar and water in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
Set aside.
Mix flour and shortening with enough cold water to blend.
Roll out dough and spread apple mixture on dough.
Roll up and slice.
Stir butter, sugar and water.
Put apple roll slices in pan.
Bake at 425\u00b0 until brown.
