German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. potatoes, boiled and sliced
1 medium onion (sweet if available), sliced thin
2 ribs celery, sliced thin
8 slices bacon fried crisp (save grease)
Preparation

Crumble bacon and add to potato, celery and onion mixture; add salt and pepper to taste.
Add 1 heaping tablespoon flour to bacon grease and stir until smooth.
Add 1/3 cup vinegar, 2/3 cup sugar and 1 cup water; cook and stir until smooth.
Add more of vinegar mixture if too thick.
Taste and add more sugar, water or vinegar to your taste if necessary.
Add to potato mixture and mix well. Add more salt and pepper to your taste.
Feeds 4 to 6.
