Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. walnut extract
3/4 c. sour milk (add 1 Tbsp. vinegar to milk to make it sour)
1 egg
4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. cocoa
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg, salt and cocoa. Dissolve soda in sour milk.
Add nuts and flavors.
Add flour last.
Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
Do not bake too long.
