West Virginia Mountain Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. chopped raw apples
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. oil (corn)
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour (self-rising)
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Combine apples and sugar and let stand to prepare rest of mixture.
    Beat eggs separately.
    Add and beat in oil, vanilla and sifted dry ingredients.
    Stir in walnuts to apple/sugar mixture and add to mixture of eggs and flour, etc.
    Pour into a greased and floured long or tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
