Pepper Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Italian sweet or hot sausage
    4 peppers, cut up
    4 onions, cut up
    1 jar Ragu spaghetti sauce (large)
    1 jar cut up mushrooms
    1 eggplant, peeled and cut up
    1/2 c. water
    water as needed
Preparation
    In frypan, place sausage links in 1/2 cup of water.
    Simmer for about 5 minutes.
    Pour off water and fat.
    Brown sausage.
    Cut up in chunk size.
    Add to other ingredients.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven in large pot for 1 1/2 hours, adding water as needed so it won't stick, stirring occasionally.
    Serve with noodles or rice.
    A crock-pot may be used also for all day cooking.
