Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/4 c. cake flour
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift salt and flour together and add alternately with buttermilk.
    Add vanilla.
    Blend in vinegar and baking soda.
    Bake in a greased and floured layer pan at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
