Candied Yams With Cider - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 large yams
3/4 c cider
1/3 c brown sugar
2 Tbsp butter
Preparation

Cook yams in boiling water about 20 minutes, until barely tender. Peel and cut in half lengthwise. Arrange in a buttered baking dish. In a saucepan combine cider, brown sugar and butter, bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour over yams in baking dish and bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Baste yams several times during baking with syrup.
