Ingredients

3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 c. raw, quick-cooking oatmeal
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. sunflower kernels
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Lightly grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, combine butter and both kinds of sugar.
With wooden spoon, beat in eggs one at a time.
Add flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon.
Stir until blended.
Stir in oatmeal, raisins and sunflower kernels.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart onto prepared pans.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden.
Cool completely on wire rack and store in airtight container.
Makes 5 dozen.
