Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
4 eggs
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 lb. raisins
1/2 lb. dates
1/2 to 1 c. whiskey
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 3 Tbsp. buttermilk
3 c. sifted flour
8 to 10 c. chopped pecans
1 can black walnuts
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. candied cherries
Preparation

Mix as you would a fruit cake.
Mix all dry ingredients, then add remaining fruits.
Bake at 275\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Yields 8 dozen.
