Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. boiling water
2 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
1 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Pour water over brans; let stand.
In a large bowl, cream the shortening, sugar and eggs.
Stir in bran mixture, baking powder, soda, salt and buttermilk.
Add flour, mixing lightly.
Fill greased muffin tins 1/2 to 2/3 full.
Bake in preheated oven at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Batter keeps 6 weeks in refrigerator.
