Oven Baked French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2/3 c. milk
    3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    8 thick slices French bread
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Place 2 tablespoons butter in each of two 13 x 9-inch pans; heat at 425\u00b0 until hot.
    Combine egg yolks, sugar and salt.
    Beat at high speed with electric mixer until thick and lemon colored. Gradually add milk and extract; fold in egg whites.
    Dip bread slices into egg mixture; place in hot pans.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minute; turn and bake 5 minutes or until golden brown.
    Serve immediately.
    Serves 4 to 6.
