Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. white syrup
    3/4 c. water
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    3 egg whites
Preparation
    Boil sugar, syrup and water together until a drop cracks in cold water.
    Pour over stiff, beaten egg whites, beating with mixer all the time you are pouring syrup.
    Beat until it begins to thicken.
    Fold in vanilla and nuts.
    Drop by spoon on buttered wax paper.
