Sweet And Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head red cabbage
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Discard outer wilted leaves of cabbage. Cut cabbage into quarters, discard core and coarsely shred. Place cabbage in a saucepan with water, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Cover loosely and simmer for 20-30 minutes or until cabbage is tender and most of liquid has evaporated. Boil down without lid for a few minutes, if necessary. Add vinegar and butter; toss until butter is melted. 8-10 Servings.
