Maple Nut Sundae - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. walnuts
    1 c. maple syrup
    1/3 c. butter
Preparation
    Toast walnuts by spreading them in a shallow baking pan.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently until golden brown.
    Heat syrup and butter in medium saucepan on low heat until butter is melted.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in nuts.
    Cool until slightly thickened.
    Serve over vanilla ice cream.
    Makes 1 1/2 cups.
