Cornmeal Batter Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer chicken, cut up
    2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. cornmeal
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
    1 beaten egg
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
Preparation
    Skin chicken if desired.
    Rinse and lightly salt chicken.
    In saucepan, cover with water; bring to boiling.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
    Drain pot; dry with paper towels.
