Maple Nut Chiffon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour, sifted
3/8 c. (1/4 + 2 Tbsp.) sugar
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1-1/2 tsp. salt
3/8 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. oil
3 unbeaten egg yolks
3/8 c. cold water
1 tsp. maple flavoring
1/2 c. egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream or tartar
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Whip the egg whites.
Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Mix in the brown sugar.
Add the oil, unbeaten egg yolks, cold water and maple flavoring.
Gently fold in the egg whites and add the nuts.
Pour into an ungreased loaf pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 50-55 minutes, or until top springs back when touched. Remove from oven and turn upside down on a wire rack to cool.
