Slippery Jims - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    large cucumbers
    salt
    6 c. vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    4 c. water
    1 (2 3/4 oz.) pkg. mustard seed
Preparation
    Peel and remove seeds from very large cucumbers.
    Slice lengthwise.
    Soak in salt for 24 hours (the salt will shrink them).
    Rinse well with cold water.
    Have 6 quart jars ready.
