Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (2 lb.) chickens, cut up
    1 carrot, coarsely shredded
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (32 oz.) can chicken broth
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. flour
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place chickens in a large kettle; cover with water and bring to boil. Simmer until chickens are tender. Remove chicken from pot. Set aside to cool. Strain liquid and return to kettle. Remove bones from chicken and return to kettle.
