Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. mashed, ripe bananas
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. nut meats, chopped
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Beat eggs until light and add to creamed mixture.
    Press bananas through a sieve and add lemon juice.
    Blend with creamed mixture.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; mix quickly into banana mixture.
    Add nuts.
    Bake in a greased loaf pan in a moderate oven (375\u00b0) about 1 1/4 hours.
