Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1 1/3 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. flavor (oil)
    food color
Preparation
    Boil sugar, water and syrup to hard crack stage (300\u00b0). Remove from heat and add flavoring and coloring.
    Pour into buttered 9 x 11-inch pan to cool.
    Break into pieces.
