Venison Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. venison steak
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1 onion, chopped
    salt and pepper
    garlic salt
Preparation
    Pound steak until tender.
    Soak in vinegar, water and salt for 1 hour, to draw blood and wild taste out of meat.
    Remove from liquid and dry.
    Spread chopped onion over meat and let stand for 30 minutes to absorb the flavor.
    Remove onion from the meat, dip the meat into flour, black pepper and garlic salt.
    Fry in shortening until done with leftover onion on medium heat.
