Cheese Squash With Bread Crumb Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. frozen squash or sliced fresh squash
    1 large onion
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. flour and water paste
    salt and pepper
    1 c. crushed bread crumbs
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese (mild)
Preparation
    Cook squash in skillet on top of stove over medium heat, until tender; add onion, butter, salt and pepper.
    Stir in slowly flour and water paste, until there is a thick consistency.
    Turn off heat.
    Pour into casserole dish; add cheese.
    Sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
    Place in oven on broil on center rack until crumbs are golden brown.
    Remove from oven; serve.
