Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. poppy seed
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. mace
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
Beat in egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
Gradually add to creamed mixture and beat until well blended.
Divide dough in half.
On waxed paper, form each half into a roll.
Wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
