Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. butter
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt sugar in heavy iron frying pan over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until all lumps are gone and sugar is a rich, golden color.
    Remove from fire; add butter and pour over nuts which have been spread in a shallow, well-greased pan.
    When cold, break into pieces.
