Tomato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (29 oz.) tomatoes
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground pepper
    1 small finely chopped onion
    1/2 c. buttered cracker crumbs
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Mix tomatoes, salt, ground pepper and onion; set aside.
    Mix cracker crumbs with cheese.
    Put half tomato mixture in greased casserole.
    Top with half of crumb mixture.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
