Drop Pumpkin Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. pumpkin (small can)
4 c. flour, sifted
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped dates or raisins (soak raisins in boiling water to soften, drain well)
Preparation

Mix sugar and shortening; beat.
Add eggs; beat.
Add pumpkin. Mix well.
Add dry ingredients gradually.
Mixing well each time. Add nuts; mix.
Add dates or raisins; mix well.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Frost with powdered sugar or Betty Crocker icing.
