Pickled Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 green pepper
    4 ribs celery
    2 carrots
    1 small onion
    1 small jar pimentos
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Chop the first 6 ingredients.
    Put in a large jar.
    In a saucepan, put the remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil and simmer 3 minutes. Cool.
    Pour over chopped vegetables.
    Keep in refrigerator.
    May be frozen.
