Aunt Evelyn'S Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, chopped
    1 stalk celery plus leaves, chopped
    1 potato, peeled and cubed
    2 carrots, sliced
    1 to 2 cloves of garlic
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 bunch broccoli, steamed until crisp-tender and coarsely chopped
    4 to 6 c. chicken broth
    1 c. condensed, whole or half and half milk
    1 tsp. marjoram leaves
    1/2 tsp. Durkee spice
    vegetable seasoning
    1/2 tsp. lemon herb seasoning
    freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation
    In large pot, saute onion, celery, carrots, potato and garlic in margarine. Add broccoli and chicken broth. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Puree mixture in blender, one cup at a time; return to pot. Add milk, marjoram, vegetable seasoning, lemon herb seasoning and pepper. Cook over low temperature (heat), stirring often until of serving temperature.
