Mock Cherry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2/3 c. hot water
1 1/2 to 2 c. cranberries
1/2 c. raisins
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook first 4 ingredients about 10 minutes.
Thicken mixture with cornstarch, dissolved in a little water.
Then add vanilla. Pour filling into a pastry lined pan.
Cover top with pastry and crimp edges.
Cut large circle in top about 2-inches for steam to escape.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes and 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes. Cover top with foil when half baked to prevent pie from becoming too brown.
