Pasties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. lard
    1/4 c. cold water
    1/2 lb. beef sirloin, cubed
    1/4 lb. pork steak, cubed
    2 medium potatoes, sliced
    1 onion, sliced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients and add water to moisten the dry ingredients.
    Shape into a ball.
    Toss together meat, potatoes, onion, salt and pepper.
    Divide pastry in half; roll into a circle.
    Put in pie plate, then filling to one side; add butter. Pull pastry over top to opposite side; seal edges tightly.\tCut slits in top; bake at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes.\tAdd 1 tablespoon water or cream in slits.\tReduce heat to 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
