Raspberry Jam Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and shortening until blended with a fork.
    Add beaten egg and vanilla.
    Spread 1/2 mixture into greased square pan and press down.
    Spread with raspberry jam. Sprinkle rest of flour mixture on top of jam.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Let cool and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
    Cut and enjoy!
