Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. white Karo
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/8 lb. butter
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
Preparation
    Use a wooden spoon.
    Line cookie sheet with foil.
    Mix sugar, water and Karo.
    Cook until syrup strings a hair.
    Add pecans and cook and stir occasionally until golden brown.
    Take off heat and add salt and butter.
    Stir until butter melted.
    Add soda and vanilla.
    Beat vigorously until it foams up.
    Pour onto cookie sheets.
    Spread as thin as possible.
    Let cool until hard.
    Peel off foil.
