Ingredients

1 lb. Butter
2 c. Sugar
3 Eggs
5 c. Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp.Baking Soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 1/2 c. Raisins
1/2 c. Chopped Nuts (Almonds, Walnuts or Pecans)
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar, add the beaten eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together and then add to the butter mixture.
Add raisins and nuts.
Form into long rolls about 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
Slice the cookies to the desired thickness and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 10-15 minutes.
