Applesauce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. red hots
    1 c. boiling water
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry gelatin
    1 (16 oz.) can applesauce
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Dissolve red hots in boiling water.
    Add gelatin and dissolve. Stir in applesauce.
    Pour half of this mixture in 8 x 8-inch glass dish and place in refrigerator to chill.
    Leave other half at room temperature.
