Panocha - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. light cream
    1/3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Butter sides of a heavy, 2-quart saucepan.
    In it, combine sugars, cream, milk and butter.
    Over medium heat, stir constantly until sugars dissolve and mixture boils.
    Cook to a soft ball stage (238\u00b0), stirring only if necessary.
    Immediately remove from heat and cool to lukewarm (110\u00b0), without stirring.
    Add vanilla.
