Tomato Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf Italian bread (slightly stale is best)
    5 to 6 ripe tomatoes, sliced
    1 lb. Swiss cheese, shredded
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
    1/2 c. fresh basil, chopped
    3 to 4 cloves garlic, crushed
    salt and pepper
    olive oil
Preparation
    In a medium size casserole dish, oiled with olive oil, place a layer of sliced bread.
    Drizzle it with olive oil.
    Place tomato slices on the bread (slices should be fairly thick). Sprinkle with cheeses, herbs, salt and pepper.
    Continue layering bread and tomatoes until casserole is full, with the last layer being bread. Drizzle oil on top layer. Top with cheeses.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until cheese is melted and casserole is hot.
